On page 6, after line 30, insert the following:
"(8) In adopting provisions of the International Wildland Urban Interface Code, the council may not incorporate appendix 104.5 of the International Wildland Urban Interface Code and may not prohibit equipment and devices that generate heat, sparks, or open flames capable of igniting nearby combustibles from being used in wildland urban interface areas without a permit from a code official."
| EFFECT: Prohibits the State Building Code Council (SBCC) from prohibiting equipment and devices that generate heat, sparks, or open flames capable of igniting nearby combustibles from being used in wildland urban interface areas without a permit when adopting the state's wildland urban interface code. Prohibits the SBCC from adopting the portion of the International Wildland Urban Interface Code that imposes such requirements.
