On page 6, after line 30, insert the following:
"(8) The council must amend the adopted International Wildland Urban Interface Code requirements for defensible space as necessary to ensure that the requirements of the wildland urban interface code are flexible in cities, towns, and urban growth areas to allow houses to be placed very close together with little to no defensible space required."
| EFFECT: Requires the State Building Code Council to amend the adopted International Wildland Urban Interface Code requirements for defensible space as necessary to ensure that the adopted requirements of the wildland urban interface code are flexible in cities, towns, and urban growth areas to allow houses to be placed very close together with little to no defensible space required.
