EFFECT: (1) Specifies that public school students are "beneficiaries of" rather than "subject to" the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution and the associated privileges and protections. (2) Specifies that public school students are beneficiaries of the self-evident truths articulated in the Declaration of Independence that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, and that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
