EFFECT: (1) Restores provisions granting parents and guardians the right to receive assurance that their child's public school will not discriminate against their child based upon the sincerely held religious beliefs of the child's family.

(2) Adds protected classes specified in nondiscrimination provisions for public schools to the list of nondiscrimination assurances that public schools must provide to parents and guardians.
