On page 11, after line 28, insert the following:

"NEW SECTION. Sec. 11. (1) Subject to the availability of amounts appropriated for this specific purpose, county auditors may seek reimbursement for costs necessitated by a jurisdiction switching to even-numbered year elections as a result of this act that are incurred for:

(a) Retaining staff; and

(b) Software or hardware purchases or upgrades.

(2) The office of the secretary of state shall pay within thirty days after the receipt of a properly executed and documented voucher for such expenses and the entry of an allotment from specifically appropriated funds for this purpose until those funds are exhausted."

Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.
