On page 4, beginning on line 23 of the striking amendment, after "or" strike all material through "RCW 35.21.333." and insert "marshal.))"

EFFECT: Removes language providing that an appointment to the office of police chief or marshal is terminated, and a vacancy created, if the police chief or marshal does not maintain certification, is decertified, or if other eligibility requirements are not met or maintained while in office.
