EFFECT: Removes language: 1) providing limitations on the use of volunteers by sheriffs; and 2) requiring sheriffs' offices policies and regulations to set forth such limitations on volunteers and requirements for specially commissioned officers. Reinstates statutory language providing that sheriffs and their deputies may call to their aid such persons, or power of their county as they may deem necessary.
