On page 2, after line 32, insert the following:
"(b) Sufficient funding shall be appropriated to the department to fulfill the requirements of this subsection (3)."

| EFFECT: Requires sufficient funding to be appropriated to the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) to offer specified alternative living arrangements to residents affected by the closure of Yakima Valley School and Rainier School as required in the bill, and to offer affected employees specified work opportunities.
Removes the requirement that the DSHS carry out certain transition-related activities for residents affected by the closures "within available funds" and instead requires that these activities are carried out "with funds appropriated specifically for this purpose."
