On page 3, after line 33, insert the following:

"(4) Nothing in this section shall apply to a burglar alarm system as defined in RCW 18.170.010(4) or a fire alarm as defined in RCW 48.19.540 (3)(c)."

On page 5, after line 28, insert the following:

"(4) Nothing in this section shall apply to a burglar alarm system as defined in RCW 18.170.010(4) or a fire alarm as defined in RCW 48.19.540 (3)(c)."

On page 7, after line 22, insert the following:

"(4) Nothing in this section shall apply to a burglar alarm system as defined in RCW 18.170.010(4) or a fire alarm as defined in RCW 48.19.540 (3)(c)."

EFFECT: Exempts burglar alarm systems and fire alarm systems, as defined in state law, from the new statewide electric security alarm system standards.
