On page 6, after line 29, insert the following:

"(7) For the 2025 calendar year, if a school district with more than 50 percent of students eligible for free and reduced-priced meals would receive more funding using 2023 assessed values for local effort assistance calculations than using current assessed values for 2025, then assessed values for 2023 shall be used to calculate local effort assistance funding under this section."

EFFECT: Requires assessed values for 2023 to be used for 2025 local effort assistance (LEA) calculations for a school district if more than 50 percent of its students are eligible for free and reduced-priced lunches and using 2025 assessed values would result in less LEA.
