On page 8, after line 10 of the striking amendment, insert the following:

"NEW SECTION. Sec. 9. The surcharges imposed under RCW 82.04.288 and RCW 82.04.299 do not apply to any member of an insurance holding company system as defined in RCW 48.31B.005."

EFFECT: Exempts members of an insurance holding company system from the B&O surcharge on taxable income over $250 million and the advanced computing surcharge.
