On page 4, after line 3 of the striking amendment, insert the following:

"NEW SECTION. Sec. A new section is added to chapter 82.04 RCW to read as follows:

Any affiliate of an insurer subject to this act must receive a credit against their tax otherwise due under this chapter for any premium taxes paid by the insurer pursuant to RCW 48.14.020 or 48.14.0201 and is within the same holding company as defined in RCW 48.31B.005."

Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT: Provides a business and occupation tax credit for an affiliate of an insurer for premium taxes paid by an insurer that is within the same holding company.
