On page 2, line 22, after "(b)" insert "If the individual separated from his or her employment as a ferry employee as defined in RCW 47.64.011 and the separating employer is the department of transportation, the disqualification imposed under this section remains in effect until the strike is terminated, unless the individual is exempt from the disqualification under subsection (2) of this section.

EFFECT: Excludes striking workers from qualifying for unemployment insurance benefits under the bill if those workers are ferry employees with the Washington State Department of Transportation.
