On page 2, after line 30, insert the following:

"(4) Beginning December 1, 2025, the department shall conduct a public education campaign related to the closure of the Rainier school to inform the public of the plans for the closure of the residential habilitation center, the safe relocation of residents, alternative placement options for persons in need of services offered by the facility, and the future use of the property. The public education campaign shall be tailored to a statewide audience, as well as to residents from cities and towns in the vicinity of the Rainier school. The public education campaign shall continue until all residents of the Rainier school have been relocated."

EFFECT: Directs the Department of Social and Health Services to conduct a public education campaign related to the closure of the Rainier School. Requires the campaign to inform the public of the plans for the closure of the residential habilitation center (RHC), the safe relocation of residents, alternative placement options for persons in need of the services offered by the RHC, and the future use of the property. Requires the campaign to be both statewide and in the vicinity of the RHC. Requires the campaign to begin December 1, 2025, and continue until all residents of the Rainier School have been relocated.
