On page 22, beginning on line 17 of the striking amendment, after "(2)" strike all material through "(4)" on line 22 and insert "((eight percent to the office of the attorney general to be used by the consumer protection division to enforce this chapter; (3) six percent to the office of civil legal aid to be used for the purpose of contracting with qualified legal aid programs for legal representation of homeowners in matters relating to foreclosure))"

| EFFECT: Modifies distributions from the Foreclosure Fairness Account by increasing the portion of funding for housing counseling activities from 50 percent to 75 percent and eliminating the 8 percent portion for the Attorney General, the 16.5 percent portion for the Office of Civil Legal Aid, and the 0.5 percent portion for outreach. Requires funds from the account to be distributed as follows: (1) 75 percent for housing counseling activities; (2) 15 percent to fund the foreclosure prevention hotline; and (3) 10 percent to the Department of Commerce to implement and operate the Foreclosure Fairness Program.
