On page 1, beginning on line 10 of the striking amendment, after "RCW" strike all material through "investigation" on line 12 and insert ". A civil investigative demand may not be issued under this section unless an assistant attorney general in the division conducting the investigation has reviewed and approved the demand in a writing that documents the facts and circumstances that provide reasonable suspicion that a violation has occurred"

EFFECT: Requires that an assistant attorney general review and approval of a civil investigative demand must be in writing and document the facts and circumstances that provide a reasonable suspicion that a violation has occurred.
