On page 1, line 12 of the striking amendment, after "investigation." insert "A civil investigative demand may not be issued under this section unless the attorney general personally approves issuance of the demand in writing."

EFFECT: Provides that each civil investigative demand that is issued must be personally approved in writing by the Attorney General.
