On page 2, after line 4 of the striking amendment, insert the following:

"(c) A civil investigative demand may not be issued under this section in an investigation of any federal government agency or its officers, agents, or employees."

EFFECT: Prohibits the use of civil investigative demands for investigations of any federal government agency or its officers, agents, or employees.
