On page 19, after line 35, insert the following:

"NEW SECTION. Sec 401. A new section is added to chapter 82.52 RCW to read as follows:

Any taxing district authorized to levy taxes under this chapter must reduce its levy amount in a given year by the amount estimated to be shifted as a result of this act. The department of revenue is responsible for providing the estimated shift amount to each taxing district every year."

Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT: Requires all taxing districts that levy property taxes to reduce their levy by the amount the Department of Revenue estimates will be shifted as a result of the bill.
