On page 107, beginning on line 26 of the striking amendment, strike all of section 1208 and insert the following:

"NEW SECTION. Sec. 1208. The secretary of state shall submit this act to the people for their adoption or ratification, or rejection, at the next general election to be held in this state, in accordance with Article II, section 1 of the state Constitution and the laws adopted to facilitate its operation."

EFFECT: Removes the necessity clause. Requires the act to be submitted to the voters at the next general election for adoption or ratification, or rejection.
