On page 2, line 24, after "WHEREAS," insert "While the Washington state legislature is advocating for universal health care, the legislature fails to provide health care coverage to legislative staff including cafeteria workers, security guards, Senate aides, policy staff, and photographers. The Washington state legislature has, however, prioritized providing health care coverage to part-time legislators who are in Olympia the same length of time as the legislative employees who do not receive health care benefits; and

| EFFECT: Makes an additional finding that the Washington Legislature has failed to provide health care coverage to legislative staff, while the Legislature has prioritized providing health care coverage to part-time legislators that are in Olympia for the same amount of time as legislative employees who do not receive health care benefits.
