On page 8, line 25, after "firearm))" strike "a" and insert "an initial"

On page 10, after line 16, insert the following:

"(5) Completion of a firearms safety training program pursuant to this section is not required for the renewal of a permit to purchase firearms pursuant to section 2 of this act."

EFFECT: Clarifies the firearms safety training program is required only for an initial application for a permit to purchase and is not required for a renewal of a permit to purchase.
