On page 21, after line 8, insert the following:
"
NEW SECTION. Sec. 305. If the 2030 economic climate study report produced by the economic climate council pursuant to RCW 82.33A.010 finds that the state rent affordability ranking has decreased since the effective date of this act, this act shall expire immediately. If this act expires pursuant to this section, the economic and revenue forecast council must provide written notice of the expiration date of this act to affected parties, the chief clerk of the house of representatives, the secretary of the senate, the office of the code reviser, and others as deemed appropriate by the council."EHB 1217 - S AMD TO WM COMM AMD (S-2802.1/25) 342

On page 21, line 13, after "dates;" insert "providing a contingent expiration date;"
EFFECT: Sunsets the act if the 2030 economic climate study report produced by the Economic Climate Council finds that Washington's rent affordability ranking has decreased since the effective date of the act.
