On page 4, after line 32, insert the following:

"NEW SECTION. Sec. 3. Within existing resources, the advisory committee established under RCW 51.04.110, with the assistance of the department of labor and industries, must:

(1) Review the time-loss wage replacement and benefits calculations; and

(2)(a) Determine methods and make recommendations to:

(i) Improve equity and accuracy in benefit payments;

(ii) Simplify the calculation of wages earned;

(iii) Reduce the type and number of records that must be provided; and

(iv) Ensure fairness and consistency; and

(b) Provide to the appropriate committees of the legislature by October 1, 2026, a report of any recommendations and proposed legislation, if any."

Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT: The workers' compensation advisory committee must review the time-loss wage replacement and benefits calculations; and determine methods and make recommendations to improve equity and accuracy in benefit payments, simplify the calculation of wages earned, reduce the type and number of records that must be provided; and ensure fairness and consistency; and provide a report to the appropriate legislative committees with any recommendations.
