EFFECT: (1) Removes requirement that grant applicant agencies maintain policies related to authority and requirements for specially commissioned officers.
(2) Removes requirement that grant applicant agencies maintain policies and training consistent with unavailable criminal justice training commission domestic violence model policies and training.
(3) Requires advances on grant funding to applicant agencies be used to cover the costs of sending officers to required training and related overtime costs.
(4) Makes technical corrections.
