On page 5, line 6, after "(b)" strike all material through "(d)))" on line 14 and insert "The authority shall adopt rules identifying which services are included in the payment described in (a) of this subsection and which services may be billed separately, including specific revenue codes or services required on the inpatient claim.
(c) Allowable medically necessary services performed during a stay described in (a) of this subsection shall be billed by and paid to the hospital separately for patients under the age of 21 if the patient is not discharged because the patient: (i) Has complex behavioral and comorbid needs; and (ii) is a safety risk to himself or herself and to others. Such services may include but are not limited to hemodialysis, laboratory charges, and x-rays.
(d)"
Reletter the remaining subsections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.
EFFECT: Allows the Health Care Authority to adopt rules for payment for ancillary services and for payment to be made to a hospital for patients under the age of twenty-one when that patient is in administrative bed day status, because they:
• Have complex behavioral and comorbid needs; and
• Are a safety risk to themselves and to others.
