Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.
On page 26, beginning on line 1, after "service" strike all material through "49.60.230, except" on line 4 and insert "or a domestic worker as defined in section 2 of this act alleging discrimination or harassment in violation of RCW 49.60.180 and section 4(2) of this act, has the sole and exclusive remedy available under RCW 49.60.230. On page 1, line 2 of the title, after "49.60.010" strike ", 49.60.040, and 49.60.230" and insert "and 49.60.040"
EFFECT: Allows an employee employed in domestic service or a domestic worker to file a complaint with the Human Rights Commission for allegations of discrimination or harassment by a hiring entity, except in specified circumstances. Removes the private right of action available to domestic workers for violations of the act and the prohibition against discrimination and harassment, including under the Washington Law Against Discrimination.
