On page 4, after line 32, insert the following:
"NEW SECTION. Sec. 5. (1) The joint legislative audit and review committee must evaluate the effects of this act on the purchase and sale of single-family residential properties by business entities, investment entities, and members of the public.
(2) The review must be provided to the appropriate committees of
the legislature by September 1, 2028.
(3) In order to obtain the data necessary to perform the review under this section, the joint legislative audit and review committee may refer to any data collected by the state, and any other data
source.
NEW SECTION. Sec. 6. This act expires July 1, 2031."

On page 1, beginning on line 3 of the title, after "creating" strike all material through "penalties" on line 4 and insert "new sections; prescribing penalties; and providing an expiration date"
EFFECT: (1) Requires the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Committee to provide the Legislature, by September 2028, an evaluation of the effects of the act on the purchase and sale of single-family residential properties by business entities, investment entities, and members of the public.
(2) Provides that the act expires July 1, 2031.
