On page 495, line 19, decrease the Workforce Education Investment Account—State Appropriation by $12,000,000

Adjust the total appropriation accordingly.

On page 497, after line 28, insert the following:

"(15) Sufficient funding is provided in this section to implement Senate Bill No. 5789 (state financial aid/credits). If the bill is not enacted by June 30, 2026, the savings assumed in this section shall be restored."

EFFECT: Savings are achieved with the implementation of SB 5789 which removes the extension of student eligibility for the Washington College Grant, College Bound Scholarship, and Passport to Careers financial aid programs that was provided in Chapter 323, Laws of 2024 (SB 5904), starting in FY 2027.
