On page 281, line 21, decrease the General Fund—State Appropriation (FY 2026) by $600,000
On page 281, line 23, decrease the General Fund—State Appropriation (FY 2027) by $1,300,000
Adjust the total appropriation accordingly.
On page 331, line 26, increase the GeneralFund—State Appropriation (FY 2027) by $1,164,000
On page 331, line 28, increase the GeneralFund—Federal Appropriation by $133,000
Adjust the total appropriation accordingly.
On page 339, after line 35, insert the following:
"(38) $1,164,000 of the general fund—state appropriation for fiscal year 2027 and $133,000 of the general fund—federal appropriation are provided solely to contract for the operation of pediatric interim care centers. Each center shall provide residential care for up to 13 children through two years of age. Seventy-five percent of the children served by the centers must be in need of special care as a result of substance abuse by their mothers. The centers shall also provide on-site training to biological, adoptive, or foster parents. The centers shall provide at least three months of consultation and support to the parents accepting placement of children from the centers. The centers may recruit new and current foster and adoptive parents for infants served by the centers. The department shall not require case management as a condition of the contract."
EFFECT: Provides funding for pediatric interim care centers. Removes funding for a contract with an organization providing outreach and communication services related to opioid harm reduction and opioid education.
