Adjust the total appropriation accordingly.
Beginning on page 312, line 36, after "(q)" strike all material through "(r)" on page 313, line 3
Reletter the remaining subsection consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.
On page 313, after line 14, insert:
"(t) $2,590,000 of the general fundstate appropriation for fiscal year 2027 is provided solely for the department to operate a body scanner program to conduct security screenings for employees, contractors, visitors, volunteers, incarcerated individuals, and other persons entering the secure perimeter at the Airway Heights corrections center.
(u) $2,590,000 of the general fundstate appropriation for fiscal year 2027 is provided solely for the department to operate a body scanner program to conduct security screenings for employees, contractors, visitors, volunteers, incarcerated individuals, and other persons entering the secure perimeter at the Monroe correctional complex.
(v) $2,590,000 of the general fundstate appropriation for fiscal year 2027 is provided solely for the department to operate a body scanner program to conduct security screenings for employees, contractors, visitors, volunteers, incarcerated individuals, and other persons entering the secure perimeter at the Washington state penitentiary.

(x) $167,000 of the general fundstate appropriation for fiscal year 2027 is provided solely for two dedicated canine detection teams at the Olympic corrections center.
(y) $167,000 of the general fundstate appropriation for fiscal year 2027 is provided solely for two dedicated canine detection teams at the Washington corrections center.
(z) $167,000 of the general fundstate appropriation for fiscal year 2027 is provided solely for two dedicated canine detection teams at the Washington corrections center for women."

EFFECT: Removes funding for 158 new close custody capacity beds at Monroe correctional complex (MCC). Restores savings for the closure of 40 medium custody capacity beds at MCC.
Adds 3 body scanner programs and adds 4 canine detection teams.
