WHEREAS, The Curtis High School Girls Volleyball Team demonstrated outstanding athleticism, dedication, and teamwork throughout the 2024 season; and
WHEREAS, Through perseverance, skill, and determination, the team captured the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) 4A State Championship title, bringing pride and recognition to their school and community; and
WHEREAS, The team's achievement is a testament to the hard work of the student athletes, the leadership of their coaches, and the unwavering support of their families, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Under the guidance of their coaching staff, the Curtis High School Girls Volleyball Team displayed remarkable sportsmanship, discipline, and commitment to excellence; and
WHEREAS, Their success is a reflection of countless hours of practice, resilience in competition, and a shared commitment to representing Curtis High School with honor; and
WHEREAS, This championship victory serves as an inspiration to future student athletes at Curtis High School and beyond, proving that dedication and teamwork lead to success; and
WHEREAS, The players and coaches of the Curtis High School Girls Volleyball Team have made their school, the University Place community, and Viking Nation proud with their hard-earned triumph;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor the Curtis High School Girls Volleyball Team for their exceptional achievement in winning the 2024 WIAA 4A State Championship; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the hard work, perseverance, and teamwork of the players, coaches, and supporters who contributed to this remarkable season; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives extend its congratulations and best wishes to the Curtis High School Girls Volleyball Team for their continued success on and off the court.
