AN ACT Relating to school smoking areas; and adding a new section to chapter 28A.58 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.   A new section is added to chapter 28A.58 RCW to read as follows:

          In recognition of RCW 26.28.080 making it illegal to sell cigarettes and tobacco products to persons under the age of eighteen, no school district board of director or school district employee may allow the creation, designation, or approval of a student smoking or tobacco use area on school property.
