AN ACT Relating to the office of higher education; and adding a new section to chapter 28B.10 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 28B.10 RCW to read as follows:

          The governor shall establish an office of higher education by or before January 1, 1987.  Selected administrative responsibilities of the higher education coordinating board shall be transferred to such office as determined by the board and approved by the governor.
