AN ACT Relating to sex offenses; and adding a new section to chapter 10.98 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 10.98 RCW to read as follows:

          Whenever the department receives identifying data about a person lawfully arrested for an alleged violation of chapter 9.68, 9.68A, or 9A.44 RCW and the department determines from the information that the person is employed by a common school district in this state, the department shall immediately transmit information about the person and the charge to the superintendent of the school district in which the person is employed.  The department shall provide updated information, as available, about the disposition of the case.
