AN ACT Relating to insurance coverage for adopted children; and adding a new section to chapter 48.01 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to  chapter 48.01 RCW to read as follows:

          A child of an insured shall include any child placed with the insured for purposes of adoption from the time the court has issued an order of relinquishment pursuant to RCW 26.33.090 or an agency has placed the child with prospective adoptive parents pursuant to RCW 26.33.090(5).
