AN ACT Relating to higher education tuition and fees; and adding a new section to chapter 28B.15 RCW.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:
NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 28B.15 RCW to read as follows:
For the purpose of charging general tuition fees, operating fees, and service and activities fees, beginning with the 1986-87 academic year and thereafter, a full time undergraduate student is a student registered for twelve or more credit hours in a quarter or semester. During the 1985-86 academic year, full time tuition and fee rates shall be charged to undergraduate students registered for eleven or more credit hours in a quarter or semester. The respective boards of regents and trustees shall define the full time status of students other than undergraduates.
