AN ACT Relating to port districts; and adding a new section to chapter 53.36 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 53.36 RCW to read as follows:

          At least ten percent of the receipts from property taxes imposed by port districts under RCW 53.36.110 and 53.36.080, and under the forty-five cent per thousand dollars of assessed valuation levy authorized in RCW 53.36.020, shall be used for water quality purposes, including the mitigation and prevention of point and nonpoint pollution resulting in water quality problems, and the treating and disposal of dredge spoils in a safe manner.
