AN ACT Relating to school district contracts; and adding a new section to chapter 28A.58 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 28A.58 RCW to read as follows:

          No school district may execute, renew, or otherwise authorize a contract with an individual or business entity for the purchase of services if the contract would have the effect of terminating or adversely affecting the contractual rights of any classified employee or any classified employee position existing at the time of the execution or renewal of the contract.
