AN ACT Relating to public utility districts; adding a new section to chapter 54.04 RCW; and repealing RCW 54.04.120.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 54.04 RCW to read as follows:

          A public utility district commission may plan for the marketing of power and for the development of resources pertaining thereto.  The commission shall not engage in land use planning or zoning activities.

NEW SECTION. Sec. 2.  Section 4, chapter 130, Laws of 1945 and RCW 54.04.120 are each repealed.
