AN ACT Relating to liability for emergency medical services; and adding a new section to chapter 18.71 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 18.71 RCW to read as follows:

          No act or omission of a medical program director, including administrative acts, done or omitted in good faith while acting in the capacity of director of emergency medical services, may impose any liability on that director.

          This section shall not apply to any act or omission that constitutes either gross negligence or wilful or wanton conduct.
