Public schools shall provide assistance to children in need of blood monitoring as provided in this section.

(3) The child shall provide all necessary materials and substances for testing.
(4) The child or the child's parents shall provide instruction in testing procedures to school personnel as may be designated by the school administrator.
(5) The child shall be given the results of the tests and be told what course of action was recommended by the physician in light of the results.
(6) If the test results indicate some action may be necessary, the child's parents shall be contacted at the telephone number provided by them for such purpose.
