AN ACT Relating to unemployment compensation; and adding a new section to chapter 50.04 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 50.04 RCW to read as follows:

          The term "employment" shall not include services performed by a full-time student except for those services covered under chapter 50.44 RCW.

          An employer who employs a full-time student shall maintain documentation of the student's full-time status.

          As used in this section, "full-time student" means a person enrolled in an educational institution for twelve or more quarter hours.
