BACKGROUND:

 

Reference is made in various places in the Washington statutes to "firemen."  Although some of the references have been changed to "fire fighter," there has been no systematic changes in these statutes.

 

SUMMARY:

 

References to "firemen" are changed to "fire fighters" in the volunteer fire fighters' pension statute.  Other gender neutral changes are also made.
