BACKGROUND:

 

The State Boxing Commission regulates boxing, sparring, and wrestling matches. Prior to 1981, the Boxing Commission was named the Athletic Commission.  In 1981, the legislature renamed the State Athletic Commission the State Boxing Commission.  However, in several places in the code the name "Athletic Commission" remains.

 

SUMMARY:

 

References to the "State Athletic Commission" are changed to the "State Boxing Commission".  A subsection numbering error which resulted from a gubernatorial veto is corrected.
