SYNOPSIS AS ENACTED
BACKGROUND:
There has been considerable growth in the number of bed and breakfast facilities in the state of Washington in recent years, as a component of the growth of the travel and tourist industry in the state. There is currently no source of data on this industry, its development or its significance.
SUMMARY:
The Senate Commerce & Labor Committee and the House Trade & Development Committee are directed to undertake a study of the bed and breakfast industry in the state. The study is to encompass the industry, its economic impact on the state and its impact on the environment of the state. Study findings will be reported to the legislature before June 1, 1988.
