AN ACT Relating to banks and banking; amending section 4, chapter 310, Laws of 1985 (uncodified); and declaring an emergency.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

        Sec. 1.  Section 4, chapter 310, Laws of 1985 (uncodified) is amended to read as follows:

          This act shall take effect July 1, ((1987)) 1989.

NEW SECTION. Sec. 2.     This act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety, the support of the state government and its existing public institutions, and shall take effect immediately.
