WHEREAS, It is of paramount importance to establish cutoff dates for the consideration of legislation during the 1988 Regular Session of the Fiftieth Legislature;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the House of Representatives of the State of Washington, the Senate concurring, That Friday, February 5, 1988, the twenty-sixth day, shall be the final day to read in committee reports of Senate bills, memorials, and joint resolutions in the Senate with the exception of the supplemental budgets and matters necessary to implement budgets, matters relating to public employees' health insurance coverage, and committee reports from the ways and means committee; and House bills, memorials, and joint resolutions in the House with the exception of the supplemental budgets and matters necessary to implement budgets, matters relating to public employees' health insurance coverage, and committee reports from the ways and means committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Monday, February 8, 1988, the twenty-ninth day, shall be the final day to read in committee reports from the ways and means committees with the exception of the supplemental budgets and matters necessary to implement budgets, and matters relating to public employees' health insurance coverage; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That commencing at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 1988, the thirty-seventh day, except for the supplemental budgets and matters necessary to implement budgets, and matters relating to public employees' health insurance coverage, the Senate shall only consider House bills, memorials, and joint resolutions, and the House shall only consider Senate bills, memorials, and joint resolutions; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Friday, February 26, 1988, the forty-seventh day, shall be the final day to read in committee reports of House bills, memorials, and joint resolutions in the Senate with the exception of the supplemental budgets and matters necessary to implement budgets, matters relating to public employees' health insurance coverage, and committee reports from the ways and means committee; and Senate bills, memorials, and joint resolutions in the House with the exception of the supplemental budgets and matters necessary to implement budgets, matters relating to public employees' health insurance coverage, and committee reports from the ways and means committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Monday, February 29, 1988, the fiftieth day, shall be the last day to read in committee reports from the ways and means committee with the exception of the supplemental budgets and matters necessary to implement budgets, and matters relating to public employees' health insurance coverage; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That after 5:00 p.m. on the fifty-fourth day of the session, Friday, March 4, 1988, neither the Senate nor the House may consider any bills except messages pertaining to amendments, matters of difference between the two houses, conference and free conference reports, and matters incident and pertaining to the interim and to the closing of the business of the Regular Session of the Legislature.
