State of Washington 50th Legislature 1988 Regular Session

WHEREAS, The State of Washington in 1989 will celebrate the one hundredth anniversary of the admission of the state into the Union; and
WHEREAS, The counties and communities of Washington have undertaken a broad program of observances of this milestone event; and
WHEREAS, Washington's Fifty-First Legislature will convene in January of our centennial year; and
WHEREAS, The legislative calendar offers many occasions on which the centennial may appropriately be observed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the House of Representatives of the State of Washington, the Senate concurring, That the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives each appoint four members to a Centennial Observance Committee to plan and organize the observance of the centennial of statehood by the Washington State Legislature.
