AN ACT Relating to local housing authorities; and adding a new section to chapter 35.82 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 35.82 RCW to read as follows:

          A housing authority created under this chapter may be deactivated or abolished by resolution or ordinance by the governing body of the city or county.  For the sole purpose of winding up the affairs of a deactivated or abolished housing authority, the governing body of the city or county may exercise any power granted to a housing authority under this chapter.
